Route 4 – The white villages route – A-382 road

Arcos de la Frontera is one of the most spectacular villages in Andalucia, if not in the whole of Spain. Perched high up on the lofty rock face overlooking the Guadalete river. Arcos is the capital of and the gateway to the White villages.

This village declared to be of Artistic and historical interest is a rpime example of Andalusian architecture. Dating from Morís times you find yourself in a maze of narrow whitewashed streets where you can lose yourself and discover hidden corners of this remarkable town.

Here you can visit the grazalema natural park, the pinsapo wood and the villages of Zahara de la Sierra, Setenil de las Bodegas and Ronda.
