Route 2 – San Lucar de Barrameda, Chipiona and
Doñana park – A-480 road.
San Lucar is a fishing village lamed for being the
Port which Columbus set sail from, and situated at the mouth of the
Guadalquivir river, where is settled the Doñana nacional Park.
It can be visited ob foot, by boat or in 4x4 off road vehicles, this
being yet the most available option to visitors.
Very close is placed Chipiona a beautiful town where
its long sandy beaches, the spectacular lighthouse and its very known
Regla Sanctuary are the ideal complements to the very rich gastronomy
of this area: king prawns, shrimps, dabs, soles, etc… and its
very delicious sherry wines of the area, manzanilla and moscatel.
Other places of interest on this route are in chipiona
the Beaches of Regla and Cruz del mar and the Marina and Lighthouse,
and in Rota the Moon Castle, Sea Corrals, the Marina and beaches of
Punta Candor and La Costilla.
